who loves free shows

found a free show at Koko, one of London's historic venues. Headliner bands playing for a taped segment on the NME Show. So its like a regular free gig except they have long setup times, and have to retake the hostess' announcements of the bands.

Explored the area where I used to live (Tower Hamlets, further East in London) and a huge pile of trash down an alleyway caught my eye. Loving junk, adventure, and deviance, I half-hoped to find something (like maybe an office chair...which i would have to strap to my back and ride home with for about 4 miles).

not sure what the drummer has in the pic here, but it looks like a bunch of beads or stones on a net of string...he was obsessed with using it on the cymbals and high hat, but i dont know what type of sound effect was really noticable...
