a tourist trying to not be a tourist...yea, right.

Luckily, unbeknown to me, my hostel was right next to a lot of small cafes, pubs and the British Museum, as well as the Canal Museum. Didn't want to sneak photos of original medieval and Burmese artworks, given the chance of what kind of treatment I'd get as a foreigner.

albeit clumsy, however slow, however naive

So as hectic packing, LA Traffic, and baggage checks can be, I seem to have made it all right, and I even got a little cardio in when I had to sprint to the opposite end of the PHL airport to get to my transfer flight in 8 minutes.

On another note, I've noticed how everything on US airways domestic is the opposite of free. No more peanuts, just more witty (bored?) flight attendants fact-checking the millions spent on airplane gasoline.

The seat trays are also all plastered with ads...the ATT one above was on my London flight. Where there is a large working immigrant Indian and South African population. Hmm. Elephants.

last day in the place im from with the people i know

on the outside, cautious, preoccupied, flustered. on the inside: pre-supershock and an ethereal lingering for nostalgia in the back of my mind.

Londonizing

so I'm off to Gatwick Airport to try to assimilate, get a new perspective, and test my independence. A year should be a good time to cover most of those things, don't you think?
